Ian McDougall
Director and Chairman
Ian has over 40 years of experience in the aviation industry, particularly as the chief executive of several commercial operating companies including Partner Jet, Learjet Canada and Flight Solutions and Services (FSS) Inc. A member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and studied at Harvard Law School, Osgoode Hall Law School, and Simon Fraser University. He was the director of the joint Osgoode-Shulich JD/MBA Program from 1994-2006 and was the Lecturer on the Law of Corporate Governance and Advanced Corporate Finance from 1986-2004.
Glen Lynch
Director, President, and CEO
Glen is the director, president, and chief executive officer of Volatus Aerospace and is a full-time employee. Glen has thirty-nine years of aviation and aerospace experience, including thirty-plus years in the operation and maintenance of business aircraft, aircraft support services, and aerospace manufacturing. Prior to Volatus, Glen was President & CEO of GAL Aerospace Corp., a position he had held for over eight years.
Andrew Leslie
Lt. General (ret'd) | Director
Andrew is a leader with expertise in governance, strategic planning, and crisis management, with deep knowledge of Canada’s global role and Canada–U.S. relations. During his 35-year military career, he led the Canadian Army, managing 57,000 personnel, a multibillion-dollar budget, and Afghan War operations. He served on UN and NATO missions, earning several awards. Educated in Economics and Strategic Studies, with executive training from Harvard and Rotman, he later held a senior role in network operations and cyber security. In 2017, he was appointed Parliamentary Secretary for Global Affairs, focusing on Canada–U.S. trade.
Omar Mourad
Director
Omar is Director of Investments in Private Equity at Investissement Québec, known for his strategic mindset and transactional expertise. With over 7 years of experience, including M&A analyst at EY, he has worked on numerous transactions such as sales, acquisitions, and refinancing. Previously, he held roles at Desjardins. Omar is a CFA charterholder with a finance degree from JMSB. He serves as a board observer for companies like Lou-Tec and La Canadienne and is active in the University Relations Committee of the CFA Montreal Chapter.
Larry D. Taylor
Independent Director
Larry is an experienced Board Chair and Independent Director with a strong track record in public and private companies. He specializes in driving shareholder value through strategic investments and organizational growth. As the President of Taylor Made Solutions and a CEO Group Leader at CEO Global Network, Larry also serves on several boards, including as Chair of the Audit Committee at Volatus Aerospace. His expertise includes executive coaching, business strategy, and governance.
